Dialoc’s ID Partner QLS Technology ‘’ as a division of Queensland Library Supplies Pty Ltd ‘’ in Australia successfully installed RFID DiaMond Gates, the Division Manager of QLS Colin Matthews said.

‘’Victory College was our first RFID “School” site and was what we deemed a clean site ‘’ ie: no previous security system ‘’ They planned to build a new library and were interested in installing the latest Technology. We proposed the Dual Aisle RFID DiaMond Security Gates from Dialoc ID in answer to Victory’s demand for Aesthetic Appeal, Functionality & Reliability by complimenting these gates with strongly branded Staff Workstations and Tags.

Cerdon College was our second RFID “School” site and was a previous 3M EM Site The library was being renovated and again there was an interest in the latest Technology. We proposed the Dual Aisle RFID DiaMond Security Gates and a Single Aisle RFID DiaMond Security Gates as the client had a front and rear entry point, while again complimenting them with strongly branded Staff Workstations and Tags, while at all times keeping within budget constraints in both projects.

The rational behind targeting the school market became apparent when Colleges and High Schools became multiple collection sites, handling not only traditional Library Collections (Fiction/Non Fiction etc) but also Class Set Texts. These Class Set Texts can be sets of up to 30 to 35 copies of the same book for an entire class. These schools can have up to 15 or 16 classes a day that require these sets. So the ability to multiple Check Out and Check was highly desirable, while ensuring a welcoming and user friendly environment was maintained.

Schools also now have a vision to completing stock takes or inventory control on a yearly basis. The added advantage of a strongly branded RFID Inventory Reader and simple spine scanning/reading over the traditional barcode reading (and the intense labour of having to pull each book from the shelf to read the barcode) quickly became a solid selling point.

’’ QLS Technology started more then 15 years ago with Dialoc by introducing our EM ‘’ Ellipse’’ system to the library market in Australia and New Zealand. Today many systems have been installed by them over the years and we are proud to have such a Partner how is migrating existing and new technologies from Dialoc ID in the market.

Thank you QLS for the good work and Partnership the Dialoc ID group.
